Kaye Steer OAM
State President
Kaye Steer has been a member of the ‘Friends’ Auxiliaries Division, Port Adelaide Auxiliary in a voluntary capacity for 41 years holding the positions of State Auxiliaries President, Vice State Auxiliaries President, Port Adelaide Auxiliary President, Secretary and Treasurer.
As State President Kaye has been the vital link between the Auxiliary members and the WCH. Kaye has travelled thousands of kilometres attending the 8 annual Regional Conferences as well as Auxiliary functions held by the 25 Auxiliaries throughout the State.
Kaye’s encouragement and appreciation to the Auxiliary members is outstanding. Kaye was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2019 for her outstanding service provided to Friends.

Jill Morrison
Team Leader
Jill has been one of the most dedicated and valued Team Leaders within the Vic’s Coffee shop for nearly 18 years.
Jill is calm, patient and an excellent teacher of our new volunteers, a good communicator and is always friendly and supportive of both other volunteers and customers.
Jill is reliable and ready to take charge. Jill was awarded Life Membership to Friends in 2019.

Julie Tonkin
Auxillary Member
Julie has been an invaluable member of the Yorketown/Warooka Auxiliary for 42 years. During this time she has held the positions of Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and Region 12 Chairperson and currently holds the position of Secretary and Region 12 Chairperson.
Julie's easy going nature and cheerful personality resonates to all who come into contact with her.
Julie's contribution is highly valued and has been integral to the operating of the Yorketown/Warooka Auxiliary. Julie was awarded Life Membership to Friends in 2019.

Meg Drechsler
Website Coordinator
Meg is highly skilled in the business of connecting with people and has over 25 years of expertise in marketing and communications. As “Get Meg”, she operates a consultancy dedicated to growing reach and impact for community-focused, for-purpose and cultural initiatives.
Also a budding writer and performer, Meg writes poetry, studies dance and sometimes does stand-up. She has a Cabaret show in development too!
Meg gave birth at the WCH and has returned many times since with lots of smiles and sandwiches at Rainbows and Vics Café which Meg says has been a lifeline in some of the scariest moments of her life. Meg is extremely happy to pay some of that kindness forward as a friend!
