Thank you to the Bert and Carmel Baulderstone Charitable Trust!

The Friends of the Women’s & Children’s Hospital are incredibly grateful for the Trust’s continued support, with their latest donation providing a set of scales and an Infuuts Trike and Mobilizer for the Michael Rice Centre.

Every measurement matters. The new scales play an important role in helping clinicians calculate accurate chemotherapy dosages and monitor children’s health throughout their treatment.

A huge thank you to the lovely Ava, who recently completed a wonderful service-learning project by creating 10 beautiful gift baskets for children spending their birthdays in hospital.

Ava came up with the idea after learning about the work of the Friends of the Women’s & Children’s Hospital. She wanted to use her community service hours to do something that would brighten a child’s day — and what a thoughtful idea it was!

Thank You to Dickens and Diana for their generous donation through The Friends Donor Choice Program.

They chose to direct their donation towards a Sara Combilizer for the Allied Health Department at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital — equipment that is now helping physiotherapists safely introduce early movement and mobilisation for critically unwell children.

The impact is already being felt.

The Friends of WCH are pleased to continue our collaboration with The Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation (APFF) facilitating another two generous donations from the group’s board and members.

Thank you for helping the Queen Victoria Auxiliary make a real difference. It was wonderful to see so many people attend the Queen Victoria Auxiliary’s Movie Night to watch Holy Days.

With four very dedicated Shops volunteers stepping down after an impressive 90 years of combined service, at the Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Shops Auxiliary division, the Rainbows Cafe is looking for new Friends!

On Wednesday 26th March the the Renmark Auxiliary hosted a lovely Garden Tea Party at Olivewood Homestead, with around 50 guests joining us for our annual Garden Tea Party.

Barefoot lawn bowels success!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Barefoot Lawn Bowling Day with Afternoon Tea at Semaphore Bowling Club on 30th March – we had around 60 people join us and it was such a fun afternoon filled with lots of laughs (even for those who didn’t bowl!).

On a bright and sunny Sunday morning in March, the Kadina Auxiliary Friends of the Women's and Children's Hospital brought the community together for a day filled with energy, connection, and fun!

The Greenock Auxiliary held a High Tea on Sunday 3^rd November 2024, at the Greenock Lutheran Hall, this is the second time we have held this style of event. The community enjoys the atmosphere, and the people are now looking forward to sharing an afternoon together.
