Eyre Peninsula Friend Celebrate 60 Years
Eyre Peninsula Friends members have a raised a staggering $695,852.00 in the past 60 years! The Region 11 Auxiliary groups, Ceduna, Lock, Cleve, Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln donated $25,550.00 this financial year to Friends. The milestone was recognised on May 31st at the Tumby Bay RSL Hall, attended by more than 30 people.
Guest speaker Tammy Lucena shared her personal experiences with the hospital including two births – one of twins and one very ill son.
State Auxiliaries President Jill Kaesler reported that 566 Inpatients and 4211 Outpatients from the Region 11 areas had utilised the WCHN in the past year. Friends Business Manger Andrew Wade spoke about the equipment purchased from the Auxiliaries Division funds. Members enjoyed a superb day and thanked the wonderful RSL members for their provision of a sumptuous morning tea and perfect roast lunch. A birthday cake was cut by long-standing members Joyleen (51 years) and Angela (42 years) a former WCH nurse.
