50 years of support
The eight dedicated members of the Cudlee Creek/Kersbrook Auxiliary farewelled Elaine Harvey, who has given 50 years support to raising funds for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, at their Christmas luncheon. Elaine is pictured after being presented with her 50 year badge and a beautiful posy made by Betty Rehn, the patron.
Elaine served as the treasurer for many years and always baked and made pumpkin soup for the Auxiliary’s luncheon high tea. She and her husband Ross have made many donations from the sale of wood from their timber mill. The Harvey’s live in Cudlee Creek and were badly affected by the recent fires and are still coping without a land line, and with broken fences and other damage. Auxiliary members totally understand why Elaine needs to step down but are sorry to see them go, and wish them the very best for the coming years.Auxiliary President Jill Kaesler said that members, ranging in age from 59 to 96 raise money by having a luncheon high tea on the first Monday in May, which includes raffles and trading table, and a Christmas Raffle.“We are always looking for new members and you would be warmly welcomed and your help greatly appreciated.”
