Can You Help?

Are you looking for a charity to support that provides comfort items for unwell children in the Women's and Children's Hospital Wards ? In the months past, some very generous community led fundraisers have chosen to support The Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital with their various stalls, sausage sizzles and garage sales.

A garage sale held by the children from the Settlers Farm OSHC (pictured above) during the October school holidays last year, raised $850. The funds donated by these wonderful children allowed for the purchase of a new Welcome Sign for the Rose Ward as well as several toys, swaddles, bouncers and little pairs of socks.

The Friends are looking for other donors that can support comfort items on the "Friends Ward Wish List".

Wards would benefit from PlayStation consoles, Play Station games, toys, recliner chairs for breast feeding mums and fold out beds for parents to sleep on within the wards.

All donating parties will be provided with options for what they would like to raise the money for within the hospital, and will be acknowledge with an official hand over of the items donated, as well as Facebook recognition on the Friends of WCH page and Friends Website.

So, if you have an event coming up and are looking for a worthy charity that is supporting the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, please think of us. With your help we will be able to continue supporting the children from all across the state that attend the hospital.
