Matt Shaves For Newland Ward
The Friends of The Women’s and Children’s Hospital were pleased to facilitate a recent donation from Matt Ellis of $1067. Matt raised over $2000 by shaving his head at Woodcroft College thanks to the support of the children and teachers. Some of the money raised was donated to a school Project Charity in Cambodia with the remaining amount allowing for the purchase of a Building To Learn Work Bench, DVD Player, 9 PlayStation games, 2 x controllers, craft suppliers and a Kindy round table for the play therapy area within the Newland Ward of The Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Matt’s son was recently in the ward due to a burn he received and in appreciation of the care that was provided Matt decided to make this very generous donation. The items were presented to Leeza Parker, Play Therapist. Thank you to Matt, the students and teachers at Woodcroft College.
