Friends Cleve Auxiliary’s Fashion Parade Raises $4,500

The Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital - Cleve Auxiliary recently held a memorable and successful ‘Wedding Dress & Fashion Through the Ages’ Parade at the Cleve Sporting Bodies Clubrooms.

The event saw 170 people in attendance, with 164 dresses showcased by 25 models, offering the audience a beautiful display of fashion history.

Guests were treated to a delightful high tea supper, with a selection of homemade sweets and savouries provided by the Auxiliary members. Mignon Dunn added charm and humour as the entertaining MC, while Deb Burton set a pleasant atmosphere with background music on her keyboard. Special thanks go to Patron Lisa Herbert of the Cleve Pharmacy for her support with ticket sales and Lauren Simes, who crafted a stunning wedding cake for display and the silent auction.

The Cleve community and the Auxiliary worked together to make this event a huge success. Information sheets were placed on each table to inform attendees about the important work of The Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital—Cleve Auxiliary and to share inpatient and outpatient numbers.

Additionally, a raffle with 10 prizes and the silent auction of a specially made wedding cake added to the impressive amount of funds raised.

This event not only raised $4,500 but also helped increase awareness of the work being done by the Cleve Auxiliary for the Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the importance of supporting young families.

Thank you on behalf of everyone at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Your kindness and dedication ensure that the Friends continue to enhance the amazing care provided and that every patient receives the care and comfort they deserve.
