Friends Partership with APFF continues to strengthen

The ongoing relationship between the Friends and the Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation (APFF) continues to strengthen. The Friends were pleased to facilitate the recent handover of two HotDog air-free Patient Warmers.

The HotDog Patient Warming System is intended to prevent or treat hypothermia in circumstances in which patients may not maintain a state of normothermia. As explained by Linda Quinn “This is another piece of equipment that the burns service needs – it’s a heating device to keep our more severe burns patients warm. We often struggle to keep our patients warm especially after lengthy operations and we have recently trialled this device and it worked brilliantly”. Please click for more information about the HotDog Patient Warming System

For more about APFF please visit the Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation and to make a donation to the Friends of the WCH Inc. association plese  visit the Friends website. Thank you to all that have made this generous donation possible.
