QVA hold another successful Film Night

On Sunday evening, 11th February the Friends Queen Victoria Auxiliary Division held another very successful Film Night ‘Force of Nature: The Dry 2’ at the Regal Cinema in Kensington Park.

With 322 attending the event, the movie was a hit and the committee raised $7,622.00 on the night which will be donated to purchase a Phototherapy Light for the Women’s and Babies’ Division of the W.C.H.

The phototherapy light is an excellent solution for treating hyperbilirubinemia. Hyperbilirubinemia is a threat to the well-being of 60% of full-term infants, and 80% of pre-term infants. The light system is well configured to the current fleet of incubators.

The success from this event would not have been possible without the amazing support from the QVA committee’s major sponsor, Angove Family Winemakers and the Kensington Regal Theatre for their ongoing support of this event. Thank you from Friends!

Also, a big thank you to the committee who work tirelessly catering for the event making delicious fresh sandwiches.

Thank you to the WCH Executive team, hospital staff and friends who attended the event. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
