Greenock Auxiliary – High Tea
The Greenock Auxiliary held a High Tea on Sunday 3rd November 2024, at the Greenock Lutheran Hall, this is the second time we have held this style of event. The community enjoys the atmosphere, and the people are now looking forward to sharing an afternoon together.
One of our lovely Auxiliary members managed to sort a collection of matching cups, saucers and plates as well as serving plates, milk jugs and tea and coffee pots. Which really brought the essence of the High Tea together. Many of our members and volunteers had been busy baking for weeks, to ensure a wonderful afternoon tea was catered for, and many donations assisted in making the event successful. This year Bean Addiction (located in Nuriootpa) generously donated the coffee for the event.
Our Guest speaker was Jess Ruciack, who walked us through her journey with the Women’s and Childrens Hospital throughout her pregnancy, her baby’s congenital diaphragmatic hernia (detected at the 20 week scan), her son Jack’s birth and now the ongoing support and care they receive from the hospital.
It was a wonderful afternoon where we played some games, had a raffle and a lucky cup prize, and raised over $3,300. Leaving us excited and already planning the next event.
