Port Adelaide Auxiliaries Annual High Tea and Fashion Parade was held on Oct 7th at the Stamford Grand Glenelg. Once again this was another outstanding event with 410 guests attending. The fashions were from Fashion from Heaven at Lockleys with compere Lucy Cornes captivating the audience throughout the day. Thanks to the committee an amazing amount of $8,200 was raised on the day. Port Adelaide has been holding this event for the past 21 years and it seems to get bigger and better each year. The committee would like extend their appreciation to Lucy Cornes for compering and thank all the ladies that support this event each year. The funds raised from the event will support the purchase of three Ventilators for home patients for the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

These units provide assistance for children that need some support with their breathing with warmed, humidified air being provided with very precisely controlled pressure and flow. Providing this type of support at home can prevent long stays in hospital, getting children home earlier, back to the surroundings that suit them best.

Thank you to all involved for transforming the lives of more South Australian children.
