On behalf of The Friends of WCH, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported Port Adelaide Auxiliary High Tea and Fashion Parade held at the Stamford Grand Glenelg on 31 October 2026. This wonderful event brought together community members, supporters, volunteers and friends for an afternoon of connection, generosity and fun, all in support of children, young people and families receiving care through the Women's & Children's Health Network.
The event was a wonderful success, with 400 people attending and raising an outstanding $11,093 to support children, young people and families receiving care through the Women's & Children's Hospital. This remarkable achievement reflects the generosity of attendees, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who came together to make a meaningful difference for our community.
The afternoon also showcased the extraordinary commitment of the Friends of WCH Port Adelaide Auxiliary and the many volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to fundraising for our hospital. Their efforts continue to make a meaningful difference to the experiences and outcomes of the families we support. We would like to particularly acknowledge and thank Kaye Steer OAM and the Port Adelaide Auxiliary for their outstanding leadership and organisation of this special event. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our valued sponsors, Fella Hamilton Fashions, who delivered a wonderful fashion parade, and Sevenhill Cellars for their generous support. Their partnership, alongside the efforts of our volunteers and supporters, helped create a memorable and highly successful fundraising event.
The Friends of WCH continue to play a vital role in supporting the Women's and Children's Health Network, and events such as this showcase the incredible impact that community generosity can have on the lives of our children, young people, and families across South Australia. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this event.
