The generosity of the Bert and Carmel Baulderstone Charitable Trust

Thank you to the Bert and Carmel Baulderstone Charitable Trust!

The Friends of the Women’s & Children’s Hospital are incredibly grateful for the Trust’s continued support, with their latest donation providing a set of scales and an Infuuts Trike and Mobilizer for the Michael Rice Centre.

Every measurement matters. The new scales play an important role in helping clinicians calculate accurate chemotherapy dosages and monitor children’s health throughout their treatment.

Bringing movement, freedom and joy to the ward. The Infuuts Trike and Mobilizer allows children to move around more freely, even when connected to IV lines.

It helps young patients stay active, maintain their strength and enjoy precious moments of play and normality during their hospital stay.

As Tori, Senior Clinical Lead, Allied Health WCHN, explains, the trike has already helped many patients and families stay active and involved on the ward, bringing joy and a little more normality to hospital life.

The Trust also shared how much they valued working with Friends to identify equipment that would make a meaningful difference to children with cancer and their families, ensuring their entire donation went towards purchasing items that meet real needs.

Thank you to the Bert and Carmel Baulderstone Charitable Trust for your generosity and ongoing partnership. Your support helps provide vital equipment that makes a real difference to children and families at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
