Friends Shop Division contribute an amazing $150,000.00 to Friends!

Each year the Friends Shops Auxiliary Division present their first half of the financial year contribution to Friends for the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN). The cheque is presented at the annual thank you Christmas Lunch funded by the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN).

Shops President, Dorothy Sandland presented an amazing $150,000.00 to Friends President Pauline Linke. This is truly a magnificent amount despite the ever-changing conditions and challenges faced today.

Executive Director, Corporate Services, WCHN Phil Robinson thanked everyone on behalf of WCHN and gave a brief presentation on this year’s achievements for the network and the exciting developments regarding the new Women’s and Children’s hospital.

Friends Business Manager Andrew Wade also commended our wonderful volunteers for their dedication and tireless work. Andrew went on to explain that every 4 hour shift worked by our volunteers equals around $100 raised and donated to the hospital.

If your new year’s resolution is to give back, meet new people or learn new skills you can achieve all by volunteering in the Friends of WCH shops. More volunteers are urgently required to continue raising the important funds that support all South Australian families.
