Friends President Pauline Linke presented Adrian with a small gift as a token of thanks for his amazing ongoing support to Friends throughout the years.

Each year the Friends Shops Auxiliary Division present their first half of the financial year contribution to Friends for the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN). The cheque is presented at the annual thank you Christmas Lunch funded by the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN).

Each year the Women’s and Children’s Health Network funds an Annual Christmas Lunch to acknowledge and thank the Friends Volunteer Committee Members and Shops Volunteers for their donation and service given to the Hospital throughout the year.

On a cold and damp Melbourne Cup Day, Lock and Districts Friends hosted a lunch and raised $1100.  Twenty attendees enjoyed grazing platters and hot finger foods with generous sponsorship from Drakes in Pt Lincoln. Cummins Hotel were the generous sponsors of wines on arrival and during the meal, with Cummins Five Loaves bakery donating vouchers towards lucky door prize and best dressed/best headgear prizes. 

The Friends of the WCH, Kadina Auxiliary group, recently hosted 130 community members for a Springtime Morning Tea. Held at the local Golf Club, on Friday 2nd September, the sun shone as attendees enjoyed listening to enlightening guest speakers and sampled an assortment of wonderful homemade slices and various savoury treats.

Region 10 Friends members gathered to attend their 61st Annual Regional Conference at the Madonna Hall, Sevenhill located in the Clare Valley. Penny Pratt, Shadow Minister for Regional Health, spoke of her work in the health area.

Region 12 Auxiliary members came together for their 59th Regional Conference on July 22nd with Dr. Kamilia Wilczynska from the Moonta Medical Centre opening the Conference and speaking briefly on Skin Cancers.

This 2021/2022 financial year the Friends Auxiliaries Division contributed the magnificent amount of $102,000.000! This contribution is commendable as the groups continue to navigate the challenges associated with Covid.

Members attending the 60th celebrations for the Friends Region 10 Annual Conference and 60th Anniversary celebrations enjoyed an informative presentation from guest speaker Justyna Rosa, Wellbeing SA. The presentation focused on the mental health issues within regional areas of the state and provided and insight into how Wellbeing SA are addressing these concerns.
