Friends are delighted to announce the recruitment of their new Website Coordinator Volunteer, Meg Drechsler. Meg is highly skilled in the business of connecting with people and has over 25 years of expertise in communications, media, advertising, training and events.
Bordertown Auxiliary Easter Fundraiser
The Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Inc. (Friends) Bordertown Auxiliary group held a very successful stall at the Bordertown Memorial Hospital Easter Fair recently. A wide variety of donations by members included delicious cakes, slices, jams, sauces, salsa, flowers, plants, books, playdough and an Easter Egg raffle.
Another Successful Film Night Hosted by the Friends Queen Victoria Auxiliary Division
‘What’s Love Got to Do With it’, was the film chosen by the Queen Victoria Auxiliary Division members on Sunday 12th February at the Regal Cinema in Kensington Park. With over 300 attending the event, the film was a hit and the division raised an amazing $8966.60 on the night!

Greenock Auxiliary Division hosting another successful High Tea
As the 2022 year was drawing near, the Greenock Auxiliary Division held an afternoon High Tea for the Friends of Women's and Children's Hospital, on November 20th at the Truro Oval Complex Hall and raised $3,746!
Friends Shop Division contribute an amazing $150,000.00 to Friends!
Each year the Friends Shops Auxiliary Division present their first half of the financial year contribution to Friends for the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN). The cheque is presented at the annual thank you Christmas Lunch funded by the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN).

Each year the Women’s and Children’s Health Network funds an Annual Christmas Lunch to acknowledge and thank the Friends Volunteer Committee Members and Shops Volunteers for their donation and service given to the Hospital throughout the year.
For the third year running, Tarlee / Stockport Auxiliary Division hosts another successful Melbourne Cup luncheon
The Tarlee / Stockport Auxiliary held for the third year running a Melbourne Cup luncheon at the Hotel Central. Hosts of the hotel Harry, Adam Klavins and Jasmin Connell opened their doors to 60 people for an afternoon of sweeps, a fashion parade from the Riverton boutique Sassy Lass and Chef Matthew Mitchell did not disappoint with a superb lunch menu.
The Maitland/Arthurton Auxiliary Division hosted a pop up market raising $10,000!
The Maitland/Arthurton Auxiliary Division hosted the annual Arthurton Pop Up Markets on Sunday 6th November at the Arthurton Sports Complex and it was a huge success. With over 100 market stalls, food/coffee vans, local distilleries, live music and children’s entertainment, they estimated over 2000 people came to support the event throughout the day and raised just over $10,000!
Lock & Districts Friends raise $1,100 at their Melbourne Cup Luncheon
On a cold and damp Melbourne Cup Day, Lock and Districts Friends hosted a lunch and raised $1100. Twenty attendees enjoyed grazing platters and hot finger foods with generous sponsorship from Drakes in Pt Lincoln. Cummins Hotel were the generous sponsors of wines on arrival and during the meal, with Cummins Five Loaves bakery donating vouchers towards lucky door prize and best dressed/best headgear prizes.
Port Adelaide Auxiliary hosts their annual High Tea and Fashion Parade
The Friends of the WCH, Port Adelaide Auxiliary group recently hosted 360 guests at the Stamford Grand for their Annual High Tea and Fashion Parade Held on Saturday 29th October and it was a huge success!
Open Garden Success
Despite a challenging forecast, 420 people braved the weather to explore the magnificent grounds of Hilltop on 29 and 30 October
