A Christmas Celebration to Thank you all…
Each year the Women’s and Children’s Health Network funds an Annual Christmas Lunch to acknowledge and thank the Friends Volunteer Committee Members and Shops Volunteers for their donation and service given to the Hospital throughout the year.
For the third year running, Tarlee / Stockport Auxiliary Division hosts another successful Melbourne Cup luncheon
The Tarlee / Stockport Auxiliary held for the third year running a Melbourne Cup luncheon at the Hotel Central. Hosts of the hotel Harry, Adam Klavins and Jasmin Connell opened their doors to 60 people for an afternoon of sweeps, a fashion parade from the Riverton boutique Sassy Lass and Chef Matthew Mitchell did not disappoint with a superb lunch menu.
The Maitland/Arthurton Auxiliary Division hosted a pop up market raising $10,000!
The Maitland/Arthurton Auxiliary Division hosted the annual Arthurton Pop Up Markets on Sunday 6th November at the Arthurton Sports Complex and it was a huge success. With over 100 market stalls, food/coffee vans, local distilleries, live music and children’s entertainment, they estimated over 2000 people came to support the event throughout the day and raised just over $10,000!
Lock & Districts Friends raise $1,100 at their Melbourne Cup Luncheon
On a cold and damp Melbourne Cup Day, Lock and Districts Friends hosted a lunch and raised $1100. Twenty attendees enjoyed grazing platters and hot finger foods with generous sponsorship from Drakes in Pt Lincoln. Cummins Hotel were the generous sponsors of wines on arrival and during the meal, with Cummins Five Loaves bakery donating vouchers towards lucky door prize and best dressed/best headgear prizes.
Port Adelaide Auxiliary hosts their annual High Tea and Fashion Parade
The Friends of the WCH, Port Adelaide Auxiliary group recently hosted 360 guests at the Stamford Grand for their Annual High Tea and Fashion Parade Held on Saturday 29th October and it was a huge success!

Despite a challenging forecast, 420 people braved the weather to explore the magnificent grounds of Hilltop on 29 and 30 October
The Friends 29th Annual Conference & AGM was a Huge Success!
The Friends of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Inc. (Friends) members held a successful 29th Annual Conference and AGM at the Adelaide Royal Coach Hotel on the 21st of October.
A successful Quiz night hosted by the Kadina Auxiliary Division
The Friends of the WCH, Kadina Auxiliary group recently hosted 120 community members for an entertaining Quiz night. The event was held at the local Community Sports Club, on Saturday 22nd October.
Attendees enjoyed testing their trivia knowledge, sharing supper amongst friends, and participating in an assortment of games. The evening included a raffle and auction which were strongly supported by local business in the community, whom generously donated an assortment of items and experiences.
Edgehill Farm Stays Supports WCH Renal Unit
Friends teamed up with Edgehill Farm Stays to raise funds for the Renal Unit at the WCH earlier this year to help support families and take some stress away during the difficult times.
They were able to donate a generous $925 🎉 A huge thank you to Edgehill Farm Stays and the families who donated this farm stay season.
Tiffany’s journey with Friends
Introducing Tiffany from the Pinnaroo Auxiliary Division, who has been volunteering with Friends for 7 years 🧡
Tiffanys story began when her son Sebastian who was born with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia at Loxton Hospital Complex on Christmas eve, 2014. Seb was flown to the WCH in the early hours of Christmas Day and then spent over 5 months as an inpatient due to his condition and the treatments he needed.
The Friends Greenock Auxiliary Division High Tea
The Friends Greenock Auxiliary Group are holding a High Tea at the Truro Oval Complex on Sunday, 20 November 2022 from 2-4 pm. There will be raffles, games and maybe an auction on the day so bring along your extra coins!
Kadina Auxiliary welcome Spring with a ‘Springtime Morning Tea’
The Friends of the WCH, Kadina Auxiliary group, recently hosted 130 community members for a Springtime Morning Tea. Held at the local Golf Club, on Friday 2nd September, the sun shone as attendees enjoyed listening to enlightening guest speakers and sampled an assortment of wonderful homemade slices and various savoury treats.
